The sea is in his blood. His great grandfather was a seafarer. His grandfather was an engineer. JonB built his first boat ( a fishing punt) at the tender age of 16 years old , for his school examination, which he passed with flying colours. Throughout the years, he went on the build several others, and he has worked on many different types of marine craft, whether that be structural, mechanical or simply boat care. He has achieved various marine qualifications, enabling him to skipper a variety of vessels. He recently sold his marine engineering business to concentrate on marine surveys.
He also offers a unique service of personal accompaniment to pre assess boats, anywhere in NZ.
